Today my four beautiful girlfriends and I met up ...and I went babyless!! My husband is at home today so he offered to watch him because I believe it has become very obvious that I just need a couple of hours away from him. I missed him alot, but I was only gone for about 4 hours.
My friend lives in the mountains...I know I am getting close to her house when my car radio looses music and just turns to buzzing. It is very beautiful. I took this photo near her house.
I'm glad it was a nice day with no raindrops in sight. The road to her house goes around and around and around, so many twists and turns. I drove back in the dark going well under the speed limit, the locals all honked me...I'd rather be safe then sorrow.
In true form, we usually bring gluten-free snacks (gluten-free because 3 of my friends have gluten intolerance...the 4th is cutting it from her diet to see if it helps he asthma!). Cupcakes are our favourite treat, I had some time last night to quickly whip up a batch. Just vanilla, but I made the icing purple... I wish I could have made bright purple icing but it was not to be - I mixed red and blue...I think you probably have to buy purple to make it vivid. Oh well. The cupcakes were all finished so I know they didn't taste like crap (which often happens to my gluten-free food..)
It was a good day - awesome friends and a bit of a chin-wag. Can't ask for more than that!
New colour on my nails yesterday. This is China Glaze in "Tantalize Me". I'm not the best photographer and taking a photo at night using the light in your kitchen is probably not ideal. It's a beautiful pink/purple shade with sparking blue in the light, often giving it a more purple-y look. I added the stars with my new konad stamper.

The Block 2012 - sad goodbye
Is anyone else sad that Channel 9's The Block is over? I looked forward to watching it everyday.
I am a HUGE Dale and Sophie Vine fan. I love their vintage/recycled style. Very fantastic.
I went out and bought The Block Magazine. I love it. It has a lot of content, including a page on every room. It also has some details on where to get a lot of the products from the show.
One of the items I loved from the show was this Jackalope Head in Sophie and Dale's kids/teenagers room. At first was weirded out by it, I have come to love it. You can buy it from www.urbanattitude.com.au for $49.95.
Another thing I adored from the same room where the cute stuffed bunny, they are from Maiike in Hawthorn, they are made from recycled fabric. I want one for my son, so cute!!
I love the use of colour that Dale and Sophie used in their dinning room. I love the placemats and hanging jar light that Sophie made.
Dan and Dani's backyard...
I love ceramics. It was my favourite subject in school. These cute white figurines from The Block are from Bed Bath N' Table. The crane is only $14.95 - I must have it. So unique. I love those white bunnies too! The crane is from Dan and Dani's house. The bunnies are from Dale and Sophie's.
Sophie wore a beautiful bunting necklace in the series. It is from a UK designer called Lucie Ellen. I really love the diamond jubilee bunting necklace. It typical Sophie fashion, this necklace is made from reclaimed wood - I love that!!
Lucie-Ellen has heaps and heaps of cute things to buy!! Should I buy one? Ohhh so tempting... I love that these are all handmade.
What a great show from Channel 9 - can't wait for the next series. Congrats to Brad and Lara for their winning home!
The Block magazine costs $8.95 and it available from your newsagent :)

My son
Ohhh Hi There.
I am well aware that I haven't posted an months.
What's happened in that time?
I had my gorgeous son. One day I'll write out my birth story...when I get the time and energy. His birth was hard, he was born no breathing and had some problems but now he is a wonderful 4.5 month old!!
I've wanted to come back on my blog for a long time now. I have decided to try and update weekly.
See you soon.

30 weeks in - a need to de-clutter
As far as pregnancy goes, I never imagined it to be this bad. I'm getting very little sleep and have lots of headaches and dizzy spells. My back and ribs are causing a lot of problems, I can't get to sleep until at least 4am it is very frustrating. I can eat now! It is amazing to be able to eat after have the worst morning sickness. I love food. I can't get enough in though as my tummy hurts from non stretching. I have put a lot of weight on but I don't really care atm. I guess I will later though. It is definatly hard being the only 'married and pregnant' person in my friends group. I sometimes envy that they go out on the town and do exciting things. I get to nurse my sore body. I am lucky though that my friends are awesome and visit me. I have read that you know who your true friends are when you have a child. I know that my friends will be here, I would be a mess without them.
I can't believe my baby brother S got married. His 20 year old wife, J, is so lovely. She wanted to organise a baby shower for me and I know she is putting in a lot of hard work. 6 days until my shower.
I really need to de-clutter my house. It's hard to do it when my house is small and I have quite a few nick-nacks. Hopefully P will clear out our "Music Room" soon so it can become "The Nursery". Speaking of clutter, why is it that P wants to keep all his school books from so many years ago when he never looks at them? They are a 'just in case' sort of thing. I want to toss them, it is just clutter. His mother always gives us her old things too - we never use them, it just becomes clutter. Ahhh...

Baby Blogger
“You should go natural” or “You should schedule a c-section” or “Don’t go natural! Have an epi!” You guys! It is no one’s business how a woman decides to bring a human into this world. Keep your comments to yourself because at the end of the day, all that matters is that there is a healthy human in the midst. So let everyone have their baby however the hell they want to have their baby.
The End
