Just a quick nail polish post.
This is China Glaze "Liquid Leather" (plain black) with Femme Fatale Cosmetics "Star's Lament" on top. Two coats China Glaze, one coat FFC. I did intend to do one coat of China Glaze and two coats of FFC to make it more glittery but I have baby brain haha.
Star's Lament is described as "a glitter polish filled with holographic flecks and small holographic silver hexes in a black jelly base". It really is pretty. It looks like a night sky.
You can buy "Star's Lament" here. It costs $9.75 for a 12ml bottle and you will be supporting an Australian owned business.
Also, just a quick note to tell you that Kat from Kitsch Snitch has reached 200 followers and is hosting a giveaway with some lovely treats! Congrats Kat! Enter here to be in the draw!

Quick look using Bellabox goodies.
Here is just a quick look using the eyeshadows, eyeliner, mascara and lipgloss from the Savior Faire Limited Edition Kit in "Pour Etre Desiree" (Summer) which came with this months Bellabox.
I used all the colours - blending well and mixing others. I also used the blush on my eyes (not on my cheeks as it is a little dark for my pale skin).

If I was going out I would use more of the black to darken up this look.

December Bellabox
My December Bellabox arrived today! Yay! One of my friends was wondering what exactly is a Bellabox. Well, it is a monthly subscription where you get skincare/cosmetics/haircare samples and usually one or two full-size products. It is $15 a month and is defiantly a little special treat for me.
So what was in this month box...
These are all samples sizes.
Compeed Blister Pack. - This is very handy as I often get blisters on my heels when I wear new shoes or heels (which is uncommon for me now). This prevents new blisters forming and heals existing ones and can stay place for 3 days! Strange how they only sent one sample... oh well, I'm sure it will still go to good use.
John Freide Frizz-Ease Secret Weapon Flawless Finishing Cream. - This is a cream to use on split ends and to tame dry strands and flyaways. I'm not a huge fan on haircare products but this one seems like one I will use for a special occasion when I actually straighten my hair - maybe Christmas? Very handy item to have.
EmerginC Multi Fruit Cleanser and EmerginC Photocell Cream - Plant and fruit based ingredients to product the skin. The cream is for fine lines (...I'm at that age where this is handy).
Allegra Rhodes Hand and Nail Cream - I got the scent Ocean Mist and it is beautiful! The scent is lovely but not overpowering (which I hate in a hand cream). It is lovely on the skin and isn't greasy - yay! Wish this sample was bigger, oh well. Bellabox made up with it with their next product...
And the main gift....
Eyeshadows in "Whisper", "Embrace", "Intensity", "Desire", "Crave" and "Effigy".
These seem like really nice shadows, they feel smooth on the skin and not gritty. I especially love Effigy, which is a stupid name for an eyeshadow but is a brilliant deep brown shade. I can think of a lot of makeup combinations I could wear with this lot.

This beauty is the Savior Faire Limited Edition Kit in "Pour Etre Desiree" (Summer). It is amazing and just up my alley with both neural and colourful eyeshadows. This retail for $110!!! All this in a $15 box!
Let's delve further into this box. Although you can't see it in this picture it has a big mirror in the lid - a definite bonus!
It comes with a mini lipgloss, bronzer, 6 eyeshadow, a mini eyeliner and mini mascara.
As you can see this lipgloss in a gorgeous colour. It is in the shade "Cherish". It has some little sparkles in it and goes in quite sheer. It has an amazing Vanilla scent and isn't platic-y at all. I accidentally tasted some of it and it actually tastes quite nice (this must be sounding a little freaky right now haha).

This bronzer is in the shade "Play" - I have rubbed it in my skin a bit so you can get the effect. I am rather pale and this bronzer is rather coppery so I probably won't use it as a bronzer - it would look amazing on someone with darker skin though. I will use this as a beautiful eyeshadow.
What an amazing box! You can sign up to Bellabox at http://www.bellabox.com.au

Femme Fatale Cosmetics - Winter Hyacinth
I got an order from Femme Fatale Cosmetics today. I order a few things for a friend for Christmas and ordered a couple of little things for myself.
One of the items I got for myself with this mini nail polish in "Winter Hyacinth".
The FFC website describes this shade as "a soft teal creme polish with white diamonds and hexes, as well as fuchsia and rose hexes both in metallic and holographic finishes."
I do love this colour. It is quite sheer. I am wearing 4 coats in the photos. I usually draw the line at 2, but I needed a little more intensity. Next time I may wear a pale blue or green under it so I don't need to use as much polish.
One thing I love about this polish is that it feels smooth on. Sometimes with glitter my nails can feel really rough and the glitter can catch on things, I find that really annoying!

In the shade outside. This is 4 coats, haven't put on a topcoat yet. |
Indoors, natural light. |
Femme Fatale Cosmetics in an Australia company! They sell beautiful loose eyeshadows, nail polish and blushes. They are very reasonably priced. I also got some free eyeshadow samples! They look lovely!
"Winter Hyacinth" cost me $4.10 for a 5ml mini, you can buy the full-sized for 12ml for $9.75.
Shipping was very fast and very well packaged!

Dental Experience and Dental Beauty
I have suffered a lot of dental problems this year. I would take years to explain them all. I had a flare-up from a root canal which caused immense pain. Don't worry though, tho only happens in 1% of people who have a root canal. Anyway, that cleared up. I also had a couple of filling done. I believe my teeth had problems because of my pregnancy (apparently the baby takes the nutrients so your teeth are left a little worse for wear - I did have them cleaned when I was pregnant though, that is important to do!).
Back to the fillings, I had tooth decay under an older filling, so I had a bigger filling go in. By the next day I was in agony. I was waking up at night etc etc. I went back to the dentist who sent me to an endodontist where I had better x-rays taken of my teeth and his opinion. Well, it didn't show a lot of anything really. I thought the pain would go away but it didn't, although did lessen some.
I had 3 options;
Root canal (takes out the nerve of the tooth - after last time, I am a little scared of them)
Crown (but that may not work)
Extraction
Now, I ruled out a crown. They are really expensive and it may not work. So I was left with RTC (root canal therapy) or extraction. Extraction = cheap, one appointment. RTC = expensive and 3 appointments.
The tooth is the very back on the top left (they call it the 2nd molar). I have a fully impacted wisdom tooth next to it, which I was told will need to be removed in the future and will probably damage my 2nd molar (my sore tooth) and I will need RTC or extraction.
I choose extraction.
Here is my tooth.
As I have had so many dental problems this year and been in for various things I thought I would tell you do's and don'ts when you go to the dentist.
1. Do not go to the dentist wearing lipstick or lipgloss. It will end up all over your face and your dentists gloves who will in turn end up getting it all around your mouth.
2. Do apply a clear lip balm. I use a Chap Stick and only use a think layer. This one is more matte than others which is good as it isn't slippery and you won't end up with clear slime all over your face. Peter Thomas Roth sells a true matte lip balm, which would be great for guys with chapped lips who don't want the shine.
3. Do wear deodorant. Think of the dentist and dental nurse.
4. Do not wear heavy perfume. Some people can be sensitive to it and you don't want the dentists/dental nurse eye's watering and sneezing when you are in the chair.
5. If you are going to be wearing mascara, make sure it is waterproof. If you get the needle, sometimes it causes your eyes to water - you don't want a black line running down your face. I would also avoid eyeliner under the eye as well. I actually don't wear any eye makeup to the dentist.
6. Wear you hair in a low pony tail or plait. Those dentist chairs are annoying. Most of the time my dental want me to tilt my head further back and if you wear a normal pony tail the hair bobble gets in the way and makes your head all uncomfortable. I suppose you could wear your hair out but I have very long hair and it would be in the way and would end up everywhere. Avoid a bun at all costs. It will give you a headache balancing your head on it! Trust me, I've made that mistake.
I will leave you with this...

November Bellabox
I received my November Bellabox today! Yay! The theme is "Soiree Season Staples".
The first thing that took my eye when I opened the box was the Dr Lewinn's Facial Polishing Gel - I have always wanted to try this but didn't want to spend $40 (on 150g) if it was just another exfoliant. So now I can try it out!
Onto the goodies.
First up is the Dr Lewinn's Facial Polishing Gel. This is 50g of the product! What a great samples size for skincare. Can't wait to use this.
Swisse Handcream with Vitamin D and Pomegranate. This is great for me. I wash my hands a lot these day (after every nappy change - I have an 8 month old!). So my hands get a little dry sometimes. This is a perfect size for a handbag. Swisse is made in Australia too!
Palmolive Mango Body Butter Body Wash - I saw it was mango and was "nooooooo". I dislike mangos. I don't know why. However, it smells quite nice. This is 50mls. (still I wish I got strawberry!! hahaha)
4me Nail Polish Remover Pads - excellent! These looks great 30 wipes in a little plastic container and apparently "quickly remove polish while conditioning the nails and cuticles at the same time". They are acetone and alcohol free. Can't wait to try these, they look really convenient. The RRP on this is only $3.49, this is a full-sized item.
B by Bloom Colour Cheek Tint - it's a creamy tint and I got the colour "napa valley". This is a full-sized item as well. I don't usually wear cream colours on my cheeks but this looks nice. I'll test it out later and if I love it I'll post photos. Here is a closeup of the colour;
Lastly, we have these three samples.
Skinmiso Pore Beauty Nose Pack, this is a Korean product. It looks like it contains a nice strip and a strange black q-tip. It is for blackhead and whitehead removal. I secretly love those pore strips, some people have sensitive skin and shouldn't use them. As my skin is not sensitive I occasionally use them with not much success - blackheads love my nose, what can I say hahah. Really looking forward to see if this works.
Dr Lewinn's Skin Perfect Primer and Skin Perfect Foundation. I got the shade "Beige", I can pretty much tell you right now that the foundation will be too dark. I read that the ingredients are supposed to stimulate collegian production. I'll get use out of the primer though.
Bioderma Sebium h2o Cleansing Water - This is for combo to oily skin. It removed makeup and impurities with a cotton pad and you don't rinse. I've never tried this product so it's good that it is in the box.
I felt this month the box seemed really full. I'm really happy with it. Did you get the same things in your box?

October BellaBox
I received my October Bellabox on Friday - I was so excited.
It was pink themed due to October being breast cancer awareness month.
My favourite thing in the box was the Carmex Moisture Plus Ultra Hydrating Lip Balm Sheer Pink Tint (this is full-sized and not yet available for sale). I love it. It has buildable pink pigment that is hydrating to the lips and is SPF 15+ in it - a must for summer. It will retail for $9.
I also liked getting a full-sized nail polish! It is Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri in Petal Pusher, which is a nude colour. I haven't tried it yet but I know it will be amazing. This retails for $13.95
The other full-sized item is Bourjois Smoky Pencil in Dark Purple. It retails for $20 - I love my Bourjois foundation so I'm guessing I will love this too.
There are also hair and skincare samples as wells a DKNY perfume sample which is great for the handbag. Oh! And a chocolate!!
Looking forward to next months box!

Bourjois Flower Perfection Foundation Review.
There has been a lot of chatter on Australian beauty forums about how great Bourjois Foundations are. Now, naturally I wanted part of this action. Most people got Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation but some said that Bourjois Flower Perfection Foundation had a little more coverage - just what I like.
I did some investigation at my local Target and matched myself to the shade "Vanilla (number 52)" - for reference I wear MAC NW20.
I then went online and got the foundation as it was cheaper (there were no sales for Bourjois at Target or Priceline at the time).
Bourjois Flower Perfection Foundation claims "smooth and beautified complexion for 16 hours". It states it is an "SPF 15 formula with wild azalea, a flower resistant to extreme climate conditions, protects skin cells for a long-lasting youth extension effect on the complexion."
The first thing I noticed about the foundation is this weird sponge that is held in the lid - it is attached to the plastic lid and has little airholes. I did try it but honestly it soaks up a lot of foundation (such a waste) and I prefer my brush or fingers.
I love that it is a pump foundation, so much more hygienic then jars you have to dip into. YAY!
The scent: Hmm there is a light scent but I actually like it, once the foundation in on, you can't smell it though.
The foundation applies like a dream and I would say it is medium coverage and has a semi-matte finish. Now, I didn't wear it for 16 hours, however for the 10 or so hours I did wear it I didn't need to touch up or blot at all. I did use a little powder to set the foundation once I applied it.
OMG - No eyebrows!! - This is with foundation and I added my eyebrows, eyeliner and mascara. Click the picture to expand view.

Makeup Review: Benefit Bad Gal Lash Mascara
About two years ago I first purchased Benefit Bad Gal Lash Mascara from Myer. I couldn't remember if I liked the mascara or not. Anyway, it was my birthday a while ago and my friend gave me this as a gift. I thought I'd take the time to review it.
Firstly, the brush is quite large, and even though I have been wearing mascara for about 12 years it is easy to make a mess.
This mascara is BLACK! It's not a little grey or dull, it is pure black. I love this.
It has been quite warm today in Melbourne and I have been out and about and it has stayed put.
It doesn't flake - yay!
I wouldn't recommend this to people who aren't steady with their hands, as I said, it is easy to make a mess.
Price - It costs $38 in Australia, this is defiantly a con especially since in the USA you can get it for $19. Don't get me started on Australia marking up the prices of cosmetics....
This product is one Benefit's Top Sellers.
This mascara also comes in waterproof, brown and plum.

Goodbye Jill.
Like most Victorians, I woke today to find out that missing Brunswick women, Jill Meagher, had been raped and killed by (the man the police have in custody) Adrian Ernest Bayley.
Jill and her husband Tom. |
I can't tell you how upset I am. On Sunday I had seen her missing person poster on FaceBook. As the news unraveled, it seemed apparent to me that she wasn't a runaway and that she had truly been abducted. I remained hopeful that she was to be found alive. Unfortunatly that was not to be…
One of my friends posted on his FaceBook today about that lack of public transport and taxis in the early hours of the morning. He had been to the same bar exactly one week before Jill was snatched. At closing, there was only 50% of taxis needed, so he started walking in the direction of him home (the same route that Jill took), eventually a taxi picked him up. Being that Melbourne has such a busy night life I do think that out public transport system should be improved.
There have been many times when I have wanted to go back to my car on my own after being in the city, my husband doesn't let me. When we were dating and his bands used to play in clubs, he would always walk me to my car if I was going home alone. A lot of the time I used to drive a friend in so I would be safe. This friend also happened to be a black belt and a male :)
I did a quick search of Adrian Bayley's name earlier - it looks like he has prior convictions so hopefully that means he will stay in jail longer. I have no idea how someone could rape and murder someone, it is so hard for me to understand.
RIP Jill.

Let us not forget how many other people go missing in Australia every day, most of these are never shown on the news. And to all the ladies out there, please take care xo

New Just In: Duchess Kate has breasts!!
Provence, one of the most beautiful places in France. Before Prince William and Kate headed off on their royal tour they took a small break at the Chateau d'Autet, a beautiful estate owned by the Queen's nephew.
While they were there, it seems that Kate decided to get a bit of a tan and while on the balcony decided to sunbathe topless - and why not, she is on a massive private (350 acre) estate, and she is on a private balcony…no one is around - just her husband….
Well, it seems a photographer (who was 1km away, behind a line of trees) used a long lens and snapped photos of Kate without her top on. The photos were then printed in the media.
Now, I believe this was a total invasion of privacy. I am all for paparazzi pictures, but taking photos of a young lady on private property is disgusting. If that balcony was behind glass would that be the same as being "indoors" and then be a more "peeping tom" situation?
I do think that Kate deserves some privacy, this woman didn't choose to fall in love with a prince and then lose all her privacy - I believe you just fall in love and you can't help it…
It's sad, these photos were taken just days around the anniversary of Princess Diana's death…Diana, of course, being chased by French paparazzi at the time. William must be so mad.
I think the Queen must be so proud of how she is handing the situation though. She is all smiles on her royal tour.
I am angry with people... the magazine is currently seeing in France for just over 1 British pound...however, sick people are selling them on eBay for heaps more money. I investigated and snapped this just as it ended - 21 pounds!!! What is wrong with people!
Currently, William and Kate are in the Solomon Islands. They were created by topless women - Kate seems to be having a bit of a giggle, good to see she has a sense of humour.
On a final note.
You're on holiday with your husband, in the middle of nowhere, just feeling free and able to totally relax....to absolutely switch off. Is this asking for much? Taking these pics was beyond an invasion of privacy and to the women behind this magazine are an absolute disgrace to womanhood.

Diana Princess of Wales
15 years ago today I got a phonecall from my school friend Tenealle. I was 11 years old. We were discussing my birthday party which would be next week, I was turning 12! Clearly my family hadn't watched the news today so when Tenealle said how it was sad that Princess Diana was dead I didn't know what to think. I do remember getting off the phone quickly and informing my parents. We are big fans of the royal family. My parents quickly turned on the news and we found out that Diana had died in a car accident.
I can't imagine what Prince William and Prince Harry went through. It must be so terrible losing a parent, especially at such a young age. It really is no wonder that Prince Harry has been in so much trouble of the years.
I do feel very sorry for Diana. She went through so much. I don't think that Charles made the right choice in marrying Diana when he was inlove with someone else. It must have been a sad day when she realised this. I could write a thesis on this topic...

Such a beautiful lady. |
I always thought (dreamed) that Diana would be my mother-in-law. I really wanted to be a princess and marrying Harry (who is one year older than me) seemed like an awesome idea when I was little.

Almost Spring
It's almost Spring! I did do some spring cleaning today, I cleaned my son's room. I can't believe he is now 6 months old!
There are so many beautiful Camellias about - mainly pink ones, but a few white.
I got a little something in the mail...
....it was half price and shipping was from that day....
I did put on some makeup in the last month. I went out to a family so, I just went neutral. I guess I have changed alot, 2 years ago I wouldn't be caught dead not wearing makeup and would be wearing purples and blue and greens haha.
I do need to update more often... I always mean too but life gets in the way haha
Cheerio x

A perfect bloom from my garden
I need to re-do my nails. I usually go for my favourite red shade which is China Glaze 'Long Kiss'. It is a gorgeous deep garnet red with a metallic finish. I adore it.

It is amazing. I make most of my sons food. This way I know 100% what goes into his belly. It is so amazing and quite compact.
